2205(UNS S31803/UNS S32205/1.4462) Duplex Stainless Steel is the most popular of Duplex grades of Stainless Steel. 2205 Duplex Stainless Steel Plate and Sheet is also a combination of Austenitic and Ferritic Steels. 2205 Duplex Stainless Steel Plate and Sheet has good workability and excellent impact toughness. Similar to LDX 2101, 2205+2 has high resistance to corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, and corrosion fatigue. 2205+2 also has high strength, lower thermal expansion compared to other Stainless Steel, and is easily weldable.
