Alloy 304/304L is non-magnetic in the annealed condition, but can become slightly magnetic as a result of cold working or welding. It can be easily welded and processed by standard shop fabrication practices.
Alloy 316/316L resists atmospheric corrosion, as well as, moderately oxidizing and reducing environments. It also resists corrosion in polluted marine atmospheres. The alloy has excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion in the as-welded condition. Alloy 316/316L has excellent strength and toughness at cryogenic temperatures.
This is the most cost effective grade of steel. So the 202 stainless steel U channel price is lower compared to other grades of stainless steels and all metallic products in general. There are different versions of the material with low carbon and high carbon content. The low carbon version, 202 U channel are very good for welding applications as they have less carbide precipitation and less localized corrosion.
201 stainless steel has a certain acid resistance, alkali resistance, high density, polishing no bubble, no pinhole and other characteristics, is the production of all kinds of watchcase, watchband bottom cover quality materials. Mainly used for decorative pipe, industrial pipe, some shallow stretching products.
