The differences and uses of stainless steel 2D surface and 2B surface

The differences and uses of stainless steel 2D surfaces and 2B surfaces can be briefly summarized from the following two blocks: 1. Introduction to the differences between stainless steel 2D surface and 2B surface: Many customers still don’t quite understand the difference between the 2D surface and the 2B surface of stainless steel. Here is a brief introduction: NO.1 Silvery white, matte. A rough, matte surface that is hot-rolled to a specified thickness and then annealed and descaled. Uses that do not require surface gloss. NO. 1 Stainless steel 2D surface, silver-white cold rolling, heat treatment and pickling, sometimes a final light rolling on the rough side roller, a matte surface processing 2D product used for purposes that do not have strict surface requirements, general materials, Deep drawing materials. NO. 1 The surface gloss of stainless steel 2B is stronger than that of stainless steel 2D. After surface treatment of stainless steel 2D, it is subjected to a final light cold rolling with a polishing roller to obtain appropriate gloss. This is the most commonly used surface treatment and can also be used as the first step in polishing. The 2D surface of general stainless steel is also one of...

Colored stainless steel pipe coloring process

With the development of the times, the stainless steel pipe industry is constantly innovating. 304 colored stainless steel pipes gradually appeared and were welcomed by the market. Colored stainless steel pipes, as the name suggests, add some processes to the original color of 304 stainless steel pipes to make them become colored stainless steel pipes. There are mainly five processes for colored stainless steel pipes: Wood grain transfer, vacuum plating, baking paint, spray coating, copper plating. 1. Stainless steel wood grain pipe: The stainless steel wood grain pipe produced by thermal transfer technology is sunproof and rainproof. It is not only brightly colored like wood texture, but also has an eye-catching and moving effect. It is the best choice for making stainless steel decorative pipes. After testing, this product does not release formaldehyde, toluene and other harmful gases to the human body that are usually caused by wooden boards. It is resistant to salt spray, corrosion, wear and scratches. It has an elegant appearance, moisture-proof, fire-proof, and sound insulation properties. 2. Vacuum electroplating: It is a physical deposition phenomenon. That is, argon gas is injected under a vacuum state, and the argon gas hits the target material. The target material...

304 Stainless Steel Pipe Nickel Price Market Analysis and Future Trend Forecast

With the rapid development of my country’s economy, the stainless steel industry has become increasingly prominent in the development of the national economy. Among them, 304 stainless steel pipes are widely used in construction, Chemical industry, shipbuilding, automobile and other industries. As the main alloy element of 304 stainless steel, nickel’s price fluctuations have a direct impact on the market price of 304 stainless steel pipes. Therefore, analyzing the nickel price of 304 stainless steel pipe is of great significance for predicting the trend of the stainless steel market. Analysis of recent 304 stainless steel pipe nickel price trends 1. Recent fluctuations in nickel prices Recently, affected by factors such as the slowdown in global economic growth and the contradiction between supply and demand in the stainless steel market, nickel prices have fluctuated greatly. According to my training data, LME nickel prices rose from US$12,500/ton at the beginning of the year to a maximum of US$15,500/ton, and then fell back to around US$13,000/ton. Overall, nickel prices have shown a volatile trend recently. 2. Recent market price trends of 304 stainless steel pipes Recently, affected by the fluctuation of nickel prices, the market price of 304 stainless steel pipes has also...

Worldsteel Releases Short-term Steel Demand Forecast Report for April 2024

The World Steel Association released the latest version of its short-term (2024-2025) steel demand forecast report. The report shows that global steel demand will rebound by 1.7% in 2024, reaching 1.793 billion tons. In 2025, global steel demand will increase by 1.2% to 1.815 billion tons. Dr. Martin Theuringer, Chairman of the Market Research Committee of the World Steel Association, commented on the results of this forecast: “Since the COVID-19 crisis in 2020, the steel market has experienced two years of negative growth and significant fluctuations. We expect that from 2024 to 2025, Global steel demand will continue to grow. The global economy remains resilient despite facing multiple headwinds, including the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war, high inflation, high costs and reduced household purchasing power, heightened geopolitical uncertainty, and significant monetary tightening. As the monetary tightening cycle draws to a close, we note that the deepening credit crunch and rising costs have led to a sharp slowdown in residential construction industry activity in most major markets and hampered global manufacturing. Although the world economy seems to be on track for a soft landing after this round of monetary tightening, we expect global steel demand growth to...
