After years of research and development, stainless steel has many classifications. Among them, according to the different matrix structures of stainless steel materials, they are mainly divided into:

1. Ferritic stainless steel

Ferritic stainless steel is the most common type of stainless steel material. It is a stainless steel with a mainly ferrite structure under use. The chromium content of this stainless steel is between 11% and 30%. In addition, it also contains small amounts of molybdenum, titanium, niobium and other elements. In addition to its good corrosion resistance, ferritic stainless steel is characterized by good oxidation resistance and excellent stress resistance. It also has good thermal conductivity and a very small expansion coefficient. However, ferritic stainless steel has poor plasticity, so this stainless steel material is mainly used to make corrosion-resistant parts.

2. Austenitic stainless steel

Austenitic stainless steel is a stainless steel material with a stable austenitic structure inside. In addition to containing 18% chromium and about 8% nickel, it also contains a small amount of molybdenum, titanium, nitrogen and other elements. This kind of stainless steel material is a product with good comprehensive performance and can withstand corrosion from various media. Moreover, austenitic stainless steel has relatively good toughness and plasticity, and at the same time, its easy-to-cut performance is also very good. Currently, austenitic stainless steel materials are widely used in various industries.

Three: Austenitic-ferritic duplex stainless steel

Austenitic-ferritic duplex stainless steel is a stainless steel product with an internal structure of austenite and ferrite. It has the characteristics of austenitic stainless steel and ferritic stainless steel. Compared with ferritic stainless steel, it has better plasticity and higher toughness. Compared with austenitic stainless steel, it has better thermal conductivity and expansion. The coefficient is smaller.

4. Martensitic stainless steel

Martensitic stainless steel is a hardenable stainless steel material. The biggest feature of this stainless steel material is that its mechanical properties can be changed through heat treatment. At present, this kind of stainless steel material is mainly used in the processing and production of steam turbine blades, surgical instruments and other products.
